How much factory warranty is left on your 911?
Estimate only, assuming the car was first sold early in its model year. Your in-service date is on your registration or available from a dealer.
Porsche 911 factory warranty
New Porsche vehicles typically come with basic coverage for 4 years or 50,000 miles and powertrain coverage for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage starts on the date the vehicle was first sold. Terms can differ by model year, so confirm yours in the warranty booklet or with a Porsche dealer.
Why body style matters
Sports cars are driven harder and built with tighter tolerances. Clutches, limited-slip differentials and high-output engines cost more to repair, and plans commonly exclude damage from racing or track use.
Turbocharged engine
A turbocharger spins at very high speed and runs hot. Turbo failure, wastegate and boost-control faults, intercooler leaks and carbon build-up on direct-injection engines are the common problems. Check that the turbocharger is named in the contract, because some basic powertrain plans leave it out.
About Porsche
Porsche parts and labor rates are among the highest of any brand, and many plans cap what they pay per repair. The liability limit in the contract deserves a close look.
