What is covered
The compressor, clutch, condenser, evaporator, receiver-drier and expansion valve.
What is usually not covered
Recharging refrigerant on its own is not a repair. Hoses and lines may be covered only on higher tiers.
Which plan level includes it
Typical level: Mid-level. Providers draw the lines differently, so confirm that this component group is listed in the contract you are considering.
Worth knowing. Compressor failure often sends debris through the system, so a proper repair replaces several parts at once.
