How much factory warranty is left on your ID.4?
Estimate only, assuming the car was first sold early in its model year. Your in-service date is on your registration or available from a dealer.
Volkswagen ID.4 factory warranty
New Volkswagen vehicles typically come with basic coverage for 4 years or 50,000 miles and powertrain coverage for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage starts on the date the vehicle was first sold. Terms can differ by model year, so confirm yours in the warranty booklet or with a Volkswagen dealer.
Why body style matters
SUVs carry more weight than cars and many have all-wheel drive, which adds a transfer case or coupling, a rear differential and extra axle shafts. Power liftgates, third-row climate control and panoramic roofs add electrical parts that sit outside powertrain coverage.
Electric drivetrain
An electric vehicle has no engine oil, spark plugs or multi-speed transmission. What can fail is the drive unit, the onboard charger, the DC-DC converter, the heat pump and the battery cooling system, plus the same suspension, steering and electronics as any car. Only some plans accept EVs, and battery capacity loss is not covered.
About Volkswagen
Volkswagen uses small turbocharged engines across its range, often with a dual-clutch automatic. Basic and powertrain coverage end together at 4 years or 50,000 miles.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Volkswagen ID.4 eligible for extended coverage?
Eligibility depends on the vehicle's year and mileage, and each provider sets its own limits. Fewer providers accept fully electric vehicles, so tell us the exact model and year.
Which coverage level fits a Volkswagen ID.4?
For an electric vehicle, look for a plan that names the drive unit, onboard charger and electronics, since there is no engine or conventional transmission to cover.
How much does a Volkswagen ID.4 extended warranty cost?
Price depends on the model year, mileage, coverage level, deductible and your ZIP code. Request a quote with your details for an actual price.
