How much factory warranty is left on your Lancer?
Estimate only, assuming the car was first sold early in its model year. Your in-service date is on your registration or available from a dealer.
Mitsubishi Lancer factory warranty
New Mitsubishi vehicles typically come with basic coverage for 5 years or 60,000 miles and powertrain coverage for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Coverage starts on the date the vehicle was first sold. Terms can differ by model year, so confirm yours in the warranty booklet or with a Mitsubishi dealer.
The long powertrain term applies to the original owner. If you bought your Mitsubishi Lancer used, the powertrain coverage that transfers to you is generally shorter.
The Lancer is no longer sold new in the US, so most examples are close to or beyond the end of factory coverage.
Why body style matters
Sedans are the least demanding body style mechanically. There is one driven axle on most, no transfer case and less weight for the brakes and suspension to manage, so plan prices are usually at the lower end.
Naturally aspirated gas engine
A conventional gas engine has no turbocharger, which removes one expensive part. The costly failures are internal: timing chain components, head gaskets, oil pumps and, on direct-injection engines, the high-pressure fuel pump. Powertrain-level plans cover these internally lubricated parts.
About Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi's 10-year powertrain warranty applies to the original owner, with shorter coverage for later owners. Most current models use a continuously variable transmission.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Is the Mitsubishi Lancer eligible for extended coverage?
Eligibility depends on the vehicle's year and mileage, and each provider sets its own limits. Because the Lancer is no longer sold new, older examples may qualify only for powertrain-level plans.
Which coverage level fits a Mitsubishi Lancer?
If the gas engine and transmission are your main concern, a powertrain plan covers them. If you also want air conditioning, electrical parts and electronics covered, look at a mid-level or comprehensive plan.
How much does a Mitsubishi Lancer extended warranty cost?
Price depends on the model year, mileage, coverage level, deductible and your ZIP code. Request a quote with your details for an actual price.
