What is usually not covered
Fixtures and faucets are often limited or sold as an upgrade. Pipes outside the foundation and blockages caused by tree roots are common exclusions.

Included in systems and total plans. Check the per-item coverage limit in the contract against what it would cost to replace your own equipment.
Before you file a claim. Contact the provider before arranging any repair. Work done without authorization is usually not reimbursed, and failures linked to missing maintenance or a problem that existed before coverage began are excluded.
